Anti-ICSBP antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the ICSBP antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the IRF8 gene, which encodes interferon regulatory factor 8. This protein is known to function in autophagy pathways and the cellular response to lipopolysaccharides, among other biological roles. The human version of ICSBP has a canonical amino acid length of 426 residues and a protein mass of 48.4 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the appendix and lymph node. Other names for this target antigen include H-ICSBP and ICSBP1.
