Anti-GAPex5 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the GAPex5 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the GAPVD1 gene, which encodes GTPase activating protein and VPS9 domains 1. This protein is known to function in endocytosis, among other biological roles. The human version of GAPex5 has a canonical amino acid length of 1478 residues and a protein mass of 165 kilodaltons, although 6 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells. This target antigen may also be known as GAPex-5.
