Anti-Exp1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target Exp1 is a known alias name of the protein exportin 1, encoded by the XPO1 gene in humans. This 1071-amino acid residue protein is known to mediate the nuclear export of cellular proteins (cargos) bearing a leucine-rich nuclear export signal (NES) and of RNAs. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is found to be expressed in the heart, brain, placenta, lung, liver, skeletal muscle, pancreas, spleen, thymus, prostate, testis, ovary, small intestine, colon and peripheral blood leukocytes. Other synonyms for Exp1 include CRM-1, CRM1, and emb. Western Blot is the most common application for the Exp1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
