Anti-CCD antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target CCD is a known alias name of the protein RUNX family transcription factor 2, encoded by the RUNX2 gene in humans. This 521-amino acid residue protein is a reported transcription factor involved in osteoblastic differentiation and skeletal morphogenesis. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in osteoblasts. Other synonyms for CCD include AML3, AML3, and CBF-alpha-1. Western Blot is the most common application for the CCD antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
