Anti-NTN4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein netrin 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 628 amino acid residues and a mass of 70.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the extracellular matrix and is secreted. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in the kidney, spleen, mammary gland, aorta, heart, ovary, prostate and fetal spleen. NTN4 is believed to play an important role in neural, kidney and vascular development. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include beta-netrin and hepar-derived netrin-like protein. NTN4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of NTN4 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
