Anti-NIFUN antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target NIFUN is a known alias name of the protein iron-sulfur cluster assembly enzyme, encoded by the ISCU gene in humans. This 167-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in electron transport, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus, mitochondria, and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in fetal liver, skeletal muscle, brain, pancreas, kidney, lung and placenta. Other synonyms for NIFUN include 2310020H20Rik, HML, and ISU2. Indicated applications for NIFUN antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry.
