Anti-MCP-2 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target MCP-2 is a known alias name of the protein C-C motif chemokine ligand 8, encoded by the CCL8 gene in humans. This 99-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a chemotactic factor that attracts monocytes, lymphocytes, basophils and eosinophils. The protein is secreted and features cleaved post-translational modifications. The term HC14 is another synonym for MCP-2. Some MCP-2 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
