Anti-WAVE-1 antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The WAVE-1 antigen is another term for the human protein WASP family member 1, encoded by the WASF1 gene. The protein is known to function in cytoskeleton organization and the assembly of protein complexes, among other biological roles. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 559 residues and a mass of 61.7 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm and it is reported to be highly expressed in the brain. The WAVE-1 protein is a member of the SCAR/WAVE protein family.
