Anti-Qk antibodies are protein reagents that detect specific antigens. The Qk antigen is another term for the human protein QKI, KH domain containing RNA binding, encoded by the QKI gene. The protein is reported to be a RNA-binding protein that plays a central role in myelinization. Canonically, it has an amino acid length of 341 residues and a mass of 37.7 kilodaltons. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm and it is reported to be expressed in the frontal cortex of brain. Other alias names for Qk include Hqk and QK1. Some Qk antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunocytochemistry and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
