Anti-NY-CO-1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the NY-CO-1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the NEMF gene, which encodes nuclear export mediator factor. This protein is known to function in the assembly of protein complexes, among other biological roles. The human version of NY-CO-1 has a canonical amino acid length of 1076 residues and a protein mass of 123 kilodaltons, although 5 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the nucleus and cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include IDDSAPN and NY-CO-1.
