Anti-WAVE1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target WAVE1 is a known alias name of the protein WASP family member 1, encoded by the WASF1 gene in humans. This 559-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in cytoskeleton organization and the assembly of protein complexes, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in the brain. Other synonyms for WAVE1 include NEDALVS, SCAR1, and WAVE. Some WAVE1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. ELISA and Western Blot are common applications for these antibodies.
