Anti-PFN3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein profilin 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 137 amino acid residues and a mass of 14.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus and cytoplasm. It is reported to have testis-specific expression. A member of the Profilin protein family, PFN3 is known to bind to actin and affects the structure of the cytoskeleton. Synonyms for this target antigen include profilin III. PFN3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the PFN3 antibodies listed below. In addition, Immunohistochemistry is also a common application.
