Anti-Selt antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the Selt antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the SELENOT gene, which encodes selenoprotein T. This protein is known to function in carbohydrate metabolism and homeostasis and the regulation of intracellular calcium, among other biological roles. The human version of Selt has a canonical amino acid length of 195 residues and a protein mass of 22.3 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the ER of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Selt is a member of the SelWTH protein family. Indicated applications for Selt antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, and Western Blot.
