Anti-P/CAF antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target P/CAF is a known alias name of the protein lysine acetyltransferase 2B, encoded by the KAT2B gene in humans. This 832-amino acid residue protein is known to function as a histone acetyltransferase (HAT) to promote transcriptional activation. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is widely expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for P/CAF include CAF, CAF, and P/CAF. Western Blot is the most common application for the P/CAF antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
