Anti-PR3 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PR3 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PRTN3 gene, which encodes proteinase 3. This protein is known to function in the regulation of cell proliferation, among other biological roles. The human version of PR3 has a canonical amino acid length of 256 residues and a protein mass of 27.8 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cell membrane, cytoplasm, and is secreted of cells and notably expressed in the bone marrow and spleen. Other names for this target antigen include ACPA, ACPA, and AGP7. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for PR3 antibodies.
