Anti-DAI antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target DAI is a known alias name of the protein Z-DNA binding protein 1, encoded by the ZBP1 gene in humans. This 429-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and viral immune response, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be highly expressed in lymphatic tissues including lymph node, leukocytes, tonsil, bone marrow and spleen. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for DAI antibodies.
