Anti-ABI3 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ABI family member 3. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 366 amino acid residues and a mass of 39 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is found to be expressed in the heart, lung, liver, pancreas, kidney, placenta and at low levels in the brain and skeletal muscle. A member of the ABI protein family, ABI3 is believed to inhibit tumor metastasis (By similarity). Synonyms for this target antigen include SSH3BP3, ABI gene family member 3, new molecule including SH3, and NESH. ABI3 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some ABI3 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
