Anti-PGLYRP4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein peptidoglycan recognition protein 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 373 amino acid residues and a mass of 40.6 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the N-acetylmuramoyl-L-alanine amidase 2 protein family, PGLYRP4 is reported to be a pattern receptor that binds to murein peptidoglycans (PGN) of Gram-positive bacteria. Post-translational modifications have been described, including N-glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include peptidoglycan recognition protein I-beta, peptidoglycan recognition protein intermediate beta, and PGRP-I-beta. PGLYRP4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. A number of PGLYRP4 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
