Anti-TRNT1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein tRNA nucleotidyl transferase 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 434 amino acid residues and a mass of 50.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is a member of the TRNA nucleotidyltransferase/poly(A) polymerase protein family. The TRNT1 gene has been associated with the disease, Sideroblastic anemia with B-cell immunodeficiency, periodic fevers, and developmental delay. Synonyms for this target antigen include CGI-47, MtCCA, RPEM, SIFD, CCA tRNA nucleotidyltransferase 1, mitochondrial, and CCA1. TRNT1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of TRNT1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
