Anti-WBP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein WW domain binding protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 269 amino acid residues and a mass of 29.1 kDa. It is reported to be expressed in most tissues but at significantly lower levels in the placenta, lung, liver, and kidney. Synonyms for this target antigen include epididymis secretory sperm binding protein. WBP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some WBP1 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
