Anti-T-box, brain 1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target T-box, brain 1 is a known alias name of the protein T-box brain transcription factor 1, encoded by the TBR1 gene in humans. This 682-amino acid residue protein is known to be a transcriptional repressor involved in multiple aspects of cortical development, including neuronal migration, laminar and areal identity, and axonal projection. It is localized to the nucleus of the cell. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the brain. Other synonyms for T-box, brain 1 include AUTS5, IDDAS, and TES-56. A number of T-box, brain 1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
