Anti-RAB17 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein RAB17, member RAS oncogene family. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 212 amino acid residues and a mass of 23.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the endosome. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in melanocytes. A member of the Rab protein family, RAB17 is known to be involved with cilium assembly and endocytosis. Synonyms for this target antigen include ras-related protein Rab-17. RAB17 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of RAB17 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
