Anti-KLC4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein kinesin light chain 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 619 amino acid residues and a mass of 68.6 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 5 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. It is a member of the Kinesin light chain protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include kinesin-like protein 8. KLC4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are common applications for KLC4 antibodies.
