Anti-PCDH17 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein protocadherin 17. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1159 amino acid residues and a mass of 126.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. PCDH17 is known to be involved with cell adhesion. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include PCH68, protocadherin 68, and PCDH68. PCDH17 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some PCDH17 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
