Anti-Pappalysin 1 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene PAPPA in humans. The gene may also be known as PAPPA1, pregnancy-associated plasma protein A, pappalysin 1, ASBABP2, DIPLA1, IGFBP-4ase, PAPA, and IGF-dependent IGFBP-4 protease. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 181 kilodaltons in mass. Based on gene name, canine, porcine, monkey, mouse and rat orthologs may also be found.
