Anti-EXOC1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein exocyst complex component 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 894 amino acid residues and a mass of 102 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. A member of the SEC3 protein family, EXOC1 is a known component of the exocyst complex involved in the docking of exocytic vesicles with fusion sites on the plasma membrane.; (Microbial infection) Has an antiviral effect against flaviviruses by affecting viral RNA transcription and translation through the sequestration of elongation factor 1-alpha (EEF1A1). Synonyms for this target antigen include SEC3-like 1 and exocyst complex component Sec3. EXOC1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of EXOC1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
