Anti-PMK antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the PMK antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the PMVK gene, which encodes phosphomevalonate kinase. This protein is known to function in cholesterol metabolism and homeostasis and protein phosphorylation, among other biological roles. The human version of PMK has a canonical amino acid length of 192 residues and a protein mass of 22 kilodaltons. It is reported to be localized in the cytoplasm of cells and widely expressed in many tissue types. Other names for this target antigen include HUMPMKI and PMKA. Indicated applications for PMK antibodies listed below include ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry.
