Anti-INSL6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein insulin like 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 213 amino acid residues and a mass of 24.9 kDa. It has been described to be a secreted protein. It is reported to have testis-specific expression. A member of the Insulin protein family, INSL6 is suspected to have a role in sperm development and fertilization. Synonyms for this target antigen include insulin-like peptide INSL6, insulin-like peptide 5, insulin-like peptide 6, relaxin/insulin-like factor 1, and RIF1. INSL6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat and chimpanzee species. Western Blot is the most common application for the INSL6 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
