Anti-CAMSAP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein calmodulin regulated spectrin associated protein 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1602 amino acid residues and a mass of 178 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cytoplasm. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the CAMSAP1 protein family, CAMSAP1 is known to be involved with cytoskeleton organization and neuronal development. Synonyms for this target antigen include epididymis secretory sperm binding protein. CAMSAP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. A number of CAMSAP1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunofluorescence and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
