Anti-AKTIP antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein AKT interacting protein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 292 amino acid residues and a mass of 33.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane and cytoplasm. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. A member of the Ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme protein family, AKTIP is a known component of the FTS/Hook/FHIP complex (FHF complex). Synonyms for this target antigen include fused toes homolog. AKTIP gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some AKTIP antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Immunohistochemistry is a widely used application for these antibodies. Western Blot and Immunofluorescence are also common applications.
