Anti-ABCC6 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein ATP binding cassette subfamily C member 6. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 1503 amino acid residues and a mass of 164.9 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is reported to be expressed in the kidney and liver. A member of the ABCC protein family, ABCC6 is reported to be an aTP-dependent transporter of the ATP-binding cassette (ABC) family that actively extrudes physiological compounds, and xenobiotics from cells. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include ABC34 and ARA. ABCC6 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chicken species. A number of ABCC6 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
