Anti-AKAP4 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein A-kinase anchoring protein 4. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 854 amino acid residues and a mass of 94.5 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell projections. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in the testis. A member of the AKAP110 protein family, AKAP4 is known to be involved with cellular localization and protein localization. Synonyms for this target antigen include AKAP82, CT99, FSC1, HI, PRKA4, hAKAP82, p82, and AKAP 82. AKAP4 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. A number of AKAP4 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
