Anti-PEX10 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein peroxisomal biogenesis factor 10. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 326 amino acid residues and a mass of 37.1 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the peroxisomes. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably expressed in many tissues, such as the cerebral cortex and colon. A member of the Pex2/pex10/pex12 protein family, PEX10 is known to be involved with protein ubiquitination. The PEX10 gene has been associated with the disease, Peroxisome biogenesis disorder. Synonyms for this target antigen include PBD6A, PBD6B, RNF69, peroxisome biogenesis factor 10, RING finger protein 69, and NALD. PEX10 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Some PEX10 antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
