Anti-CYP1A1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein cytochrome P450 family 1 subfamily A member 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 512 amino acid residues and a mass of 58.2 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the mitochondria, ER, and cytoplasm. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 3 different isoforms for this protein. A member of a the Cytochrome P450 protein family, CYP1A1 is a cytochrome P450 monooxygenase involved in the metabolism of various endogenous substrates, including fatty acids, steroid hormones and vitamins. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Synonyms for this target antigen include AHRR, CP11, CYP1, CYPIA1, P1-450, P450-C, P450DX, and AHH.
