Anti-ATP binding cassette subfamily A member 8 antibodies are directed against the protein encoded by the gene ABCA8 in humans. The gene may also be known as ATP-binding cassette sub-family A member 8, and ATP-binding cassette, sub-family A (ABC1), member 8. Structurally, the protein is reported to be 179.2 kilodaltons in mass. The ABCA8 marker can be used to identify Brain Fibroblast Non-Neuronal Cells.* Based on gene name, plant, canine, porcine, monkey and rat orthologs may also be found.
