Anti-SARNP antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein SAP domain containing ribonucleoprotein. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 210 amino acid residues and a mass of 23.7 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the nucleus. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. SARNP is known to bind both single-stranded and double-stranded DNA with higher affinity for the single-stranded form. Synonyms for this target antigen include cytokine-induced protein of 29 kDa, hepatocellular carcinoma 1, nuclear protein Hcc-1, proliferation associated cytokine-inducible protein CIP29, and cytokine induced protein 29 kDa. SARNP gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish and chicken species. Some SARNP antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
