Anti-HSPCB antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target HSPCB is a known alias name of the protein heat shock protein 90 alpha family class B member 1, encoded by the HSP90AB1 gene in humans. This 724-amino acid residue protein is reported to be a molecular chaperone that promotes the maturation, structural maintenance and proper regulation of specific target proteins involved for instance in cell cycle control and signal transduction. It is localized to the cell membrane, nucleus, cytoplasm, and is secreted of the cell and features methylated, glycosylated, ubiquitinated, cleaved and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for HSPCB include D6S182, HSP84, and HSP90B. A number of HSPCB antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA, Immunofluorescence, Immunoprecipitation, and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
