Anti-SERK1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SERK1 is a known alias name of the protein mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase 4, encoded by the MAP2K4 gene in humans. This 399-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in the apoptotic pathway and MAPK cascade signaling pathways, among other biological processes. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in many tissues, such as the breast, thyroid gland, and adrenal gland. Other synonyms for SERK1 include JNKK, JNKK1, and MAPKK4. Western Blot is the most common application for the SERK1 antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
