Anti-SAPK antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target SAPK is a known alias name of the protein mitogen-activated protein kinase 9, encoded by the MAPK9 gene in humans. This 424-amino acid residue protein is known to be a protein kinase involved in various processes such as cell proliferation, differentiation, migration, transformation and programmed cell death. It is localized to the nucleus and cytoplasm of the cell and features phosphorylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be widely expressed in many tissue types. Other synonyms for SAPK include JNK-55, JNK-55, and JNK2. Western Blot is the most common application for the SAPK antibodies listed below. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
