Anti-R-cadherin antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target R-cadherin is a known alias name of the protein cadherin 4, encoded by the CDH4 gene in humans. This 916-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in axon guidance and cell adhesion, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features glycosylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is notably expressed in the brain but also found in other tissues. Other synonyms for R-cadherin include CAD4, R-CAD, and RCAD. Indicated applications for R-cadherin antibodies listed below include ELISA, Flow Cytometry, Western Blot, Immunofluorescence, and Immunohistochemistry.
