Anti-Neurotrimin antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein encoded by the NTM gene. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 344 amino acid residues and a mass of 38 kDa. Its subcellular localization is in the cell membrane. Alternative splicing is reported to yield 4 different isoforms for this protein. A member of the IgLON protein family, it is known to be involved with cell adhesion. Post-translational modifications have been described, including glycosylation. Other names for this target antigen include HNT, IGLON2, NTRI, IgLON family member 2, and CEPU-1.
