Anti-JAM-A antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target JAM-A is a known alias name of the protein F11 receptor, encoded by the F11R gene in humans. This 299-amino acid residue protein is believed to play a role in epithelial tight junction formation. It is localized to the cell membrane of the cell and features N-glycosylated and cleaved post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is reported to be expressed in endothelium, epithelium and leukocytes.
