Anti-clip-1 antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the clip-1 antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the CLIP1 gene, which encodes CAP-Gly domain containing linker protein 1. This protein is known to function in the cell cycle, among other biological roles. The human version of clip-1 has a canonical amino acid length of 1438 residues and a protein mass of 162.2 kilodaltons, although 3 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane, cytoplasmic vesicles, and cytoplasm of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the adrenal gland, urinary bladder, and adipose tissue.
