Anti-INPP1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein inositol polyphosphate-1-phosphatase. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 399 amino acid residues and a mass of 44 kDa. It is widely expressed across many tissue types. A member of the Inositol monophosphatase protein superfamily, INPP1 is reported to be a Mg(2+)-dependent phosphatase that catalyzes the hydrolysis of the 1-position phosphate from inositol 1,4-bisphosphate and inositol 1,3,4-trisphosphate and participates in inositol phosphate metabolism. Synonyms for this target antigen include IPP and IPPase. INPP1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, zebrafish, chimpanzee and chicken species. Western Blot is a widely used application for the INPP1 antibodies listed below. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
