Anti-transmembrane protease, serine 11a antibodies enable researchers to detect and measure the transmembrane protease, serine 11a antigen in biological samples. This target is a reported synonym of the TMPRSS11A gene, which encodes transmembrane serine protease 11A. This protein is known to function in the cell cycle and proteolysis, among other biological roles. The human version of transmembrane protease, serine 11a has a canonical amino acid length of 418 residues and a protein mass of 47.3 kilodaltons, although 2 isoforms have been identified. It is reported to be localized in the membrane of cells and notably expressed in many tissues, such as the bronchus and cervix. This target antigen may also be known as transmembrane protease serine 11A.
