Anti-LFS1 antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target LFS1 is a known alias name of the protein tumor protein p53, encoded by the TP53 gene in humans. This 393-amino acid residue protein is known to act as a tumor suppressor in many tumor types; induces growth arrest or apoptosis depending on the physiological circumstances and cell type. It is localized to the nucleus, mitochondria, ER, and cytoplasm of the cell and features methylated, O-glycosylated, ubiquitinated, sumoylated, acetylated and phosphorylated post-translational modifications. In terms of tissue expression, it is ubiquitously expressed across many tissue types. Other synonyms for LFS1 include BCC7 and BMFS5. A number of LFS1 antibodies have been mentioned in research publications and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. ELISA and Immunohistochemistry are also common applications.
