Anti-LF antibodies are used in antigen-specific immunodetection in biological samples. The target LF is a known alias name of the protein lactotransferrin, encoded by the LTF gene in humans. This 710-amino acid residue protein is known to be involved in innate immune responses, among other biological processes. It is localized to the cytoplasm and is secreted of the cell and features phosphorylated and glycosylated post-translational modifications. It is reported to be expressed in the prostate, lactating breast, epididymis, bronchus, and bone marrow. Other synonyms for LF include GIG12, HEL110, and HLF2. ELISA, Western Blot, and Immunohistochemistry are common applications for LF antibodies.
