Anti-AKAIN1 antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein A-kinase anchor inhibitor 1. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 69 amino acid residues and a mass of 7.8 kDa. It is found to be highly expressed in the neural tissues. AKAIN1 is known to be involved with protein localization and the assembly of protein complexes. Synonyms for this target antigen include A kinase (PRKA) anchor inhibitor 1, A-kinase anchor protein C18orf42, and A-kinase anchor protein inhibitor 1. AKAIN1 gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog, chimpanzee and chicken species. ELISA, Western Blot, Immunocytochemistry, and Immunofluorescence are common applications for AKAIN1 antibodies.
