Anti-PNMA8A antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein PNMA family member 8A. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 439 amino acid residues and a mass of 48.2 kDa. Up to 2 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. It is notably widely expressed in many tissue types. It is a member of the PNMA protein family. Synonyms for this target antigen include paraneoplastic antigen-like protein 8A, PNMA-like protein 1, paraneoplastic Ma antigen family like 1, paraneoplastic Ma antigen family member 8A, and PNMAL1. PNMA8A gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine and chimpanzee species. Some PNMA8A antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. These antibodies are most commonly used in Western Blot experiments, among other applications.
