Anti-BNIPL antibodies are used in the immunodetection of the protein BCL2 interacting protein like. In humans, the canonical protein has a reported length of 357 amino acid residues and a mass of 39.7 kDa. Up to 3 different isoforms have been reported for this protein. BNIPL is believed to be a bridge molecule between BCL2 and ARHGAP1/CDC42 in promoting cell death. Synonyms for this target antigen include BCL2/adenovirus E1B 19kD interacting protein like, BNIP-2 similar, and bcl-2/adenovirus E1B 19 kDa-interacting protein 2-like protein. BNIPL gene orthologs have been reported in the mouse, rat, bovine, frog and chimpanzee species. Some BNIPL antibodies may have been used in research and have associated citations. Western Blot is a widely used application for these antibodies. In addition, ELISA is also a common application.
